December 17th, 2016: Vintage Handmade Sale
This show’s focus is handmade items made from vintage materials. This showcase we will also allow a few vendors who make “vintage inspired” products and/or have a vintage ecstatic. Jewelry, aprons, refinished furniture, upcycled pillows, are just a few of the types of items we’d love to have at the show. This showcase will be a great last minute gift buying opportunity for many people! 6′ x 6′ booth space for $45. (Double booths available on request). The sale is open from 11am-3pm.
This is a juried show. Since we focus on a specific theme with each show, we want to make sure our customers get a great range of products, styles and ages with that theme. Our themes do cycle back, so if you’re not accepted this time, please keep an eye out for future events.
The Showcases take place at the Norse Hall, located in Portland, Oregon. Norse Hall is on the corner of NE 11th and Couch, one block off of Burnside. The event is inside the Norse Hall, in their 1930’s ballroom, which is air-conditioned.
Handmade artists are welcomed to apply if the materials used in your products are primarily vintage. Vintage “inspired” artists will not be accepted into the show (unless otherwise noted in the Showcase’s explanation above).
The application asks for your business website and social media pages. If you do not have any business pages, we ask that you email us four photos so we can get an idea of your style. Links to these pages will also be used in promotion of the event and to advertise our excitement of your presence at the show! However, you don’t have to have an official vintage business to participate in the show. We love collectors trying to downsize or collecting hobbyists!
You will run your space as your on pop-up store. You will need to supply your own bags and packing materials for your products. You will also be taking the payments for your space, and providing your own displays and tables. However, we do have several tables (6ft long and 4ft long) and some clothing racks (5 1/2 ft long) available for a small rental fee. We will have chairs available for free to all of our vendors. It is important to note there is limited time for vendor set-up and breakdown, the focus of the show is truly your unique vintage treasures! No need for a fancy, tedious display, like you may have at an expo, simple works best!
